Today will be a full day exploring the rich history of Fes, the oldest of the imperial cities, renowned for its medieval charm. The entire day is dedicated to exploring the labyrinthine streets of the medieval Medina. Accompanied by a local guide, discover the famed tanneries, the Karaouine mosque, and the fascinating Merenid tombs. A delightful Moroccan lunch awaits in a traditional Medina restaurant. Post-lunch, take in the panoramic views of the city before returning to your accommodation, where the echoes of centuries past linger.
As the sun rises over Fes, prepare for a scenic journey southeastward. Traverse the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through cedar woods and the charming ski resort of Ifrane, often referred to as "Moroccan Switzerland." The road leads to Azrou, a vital handicraft center famed for its cedar woodwork. Continuing through the Ziz Valley, witness palm trees dotting the landscape.
